Employers are not impressed by the slick super-sell, the gimmick, the trying too hard to impress. On the other hand, employers are impressed by quiet confidence, relevance & judgement (does the applicant know what to say and what not to say?), the ring of truth.
We do not make applicants sound better than they are. Rather, we work with clients to identify, articulate and present their strengths and achievements. When it comes to styles we are innovative and flexible. We have developed a number of styles that are crisp, uncluttered and professional.
Our range of formats is regularly updated and expanded as we strive to continue to give our clients a competitive edge. We use different styles to suit the professional, the tradesperson, the graduate, the unskilled worker and the school leaver. Because we design our own styles, we can readily adapt them “live” whilst working with clients to suit the specific type of application we are preparing.

Above is an extract from the résumé of a client who works in accounts, administration and reception. Her résumé required thoughtful preparation because she does not like to stay too long in the one job. In addition to writing an honest introduction, the substance of which could be confirmed by referees, we wrote a functional rather than chronological career summary. This had the effect of reducing the impact of the number of job changes. Mary could pick and choose job offers from employers who were not looking for career oriented people. Since we originally prepared this résumé, Mary has taken up well paid employment with an NGO and it would appear that she has finally found a career and not just a job.

Above is an extract from the résumé of an Accounts Professional with 10 years experience, both global and inter-company. This applicant was referred by a Recruitment Agency, the manager of which is a former client of ours.
Airline - Human Resources/Project Management

Above is an extract from the résumé of a Business Development Manager with 18 years experience. After ringing every résumé writer she could find in the Yellow Pages, she came to us after telling Sherida on the phone: “you are the only person I’ve called who knows what they are talking about”. After completion of her résumé she told us that we wouldn’t hear from her again until it was time for her to move on from the position for which she was applying!

Above is an extract from the résumé of a Duty Manager/Bartender with 10 years experience in the club industry. This client very quickly gained employment following the preparation of her CV and returned some three years later to have her document updated in preparation for the next career move, an internal promotion.
Law
Above is an extract from the résumé of a Lawyer with 25 years experience spanning work as a Judge’s Associate, Sole Practitioner and Senior Partner of a large law firm. Whilst no outcome is known to date, this client expressed appreciation for the quality and professionalism of our service.

Above is an extract from the résumé of a Law/Commerce student from Queensland University of Technology. This resume helped him win one of a dozen highly sought after undergraduate teaching positions, only to have the subject cancelled one week before University began. However, he again used the resume to apply for a paid summer position with a merchant bank in Sydney and was the only non-penultimate student to get through to interview. He subsequently accepted research work for a University Law Professor.
